Privacy Policy

Chia Endocrinology & WellnessLast updated: June 2, 2026

We care about your privacy, and we want to be clear and honest about how our website works. This policy explains, in plain terms, what information we collect when you visit www.chiaendo.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, please reach out — we're glad to explain.

The Short Version

  • We collect only what we need to run our website and respond to you.

  • We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use our site, and a Google tag to see whether our Google Search ads are working.

  • We do not sell your information, and we do not use advertising trackers on our patient portal or secure messaging.

  • Anything about your actual medical care is covered by our separate Notice of Privacy Practices (HIPAA), not this policy.

About This Policy

This Privacy Policy describes the practices of Chia Health LLC, doing business as Chia Endocrinology & Wellness ("we," "us," or "our"), for our public website. It applies when you browse the site, fill out a form, or get in touch with us.

It does not cover the information in your medical record. How we protect your health information as a patient is explained in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which you can find on this site or request from our office. If the two ever seem to conflict on anything related to your medical information, the Notice of Privacy Practices is the one that applies.

Information We Collect

What you share with us. When you fill out a contact or appointment-request form, or when you call, email, or message us, you may give us your name, contact details, and whatever you choose to include in your message.

What's collected automatically. Like most websites, ours gathers some basic technical information when you visit — your IP address, the type of browser and device you're using, the pages you look at, and how you arrived at our site. This helps us keep the site running smoothly and understand what visitors find useful.

A gentle reminder about health details. Please don't share specific medical information through our website forms or by regular email — those channels aren't secure. If you need to send us something about your health, the safest way is through your patient portal or our secure messaging. If you do happen to include health details, we'll treat them with the same care described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Reply to your questions and appointment requests;

  • Keep the website working well and make it more helpful;

  • Understand how visitors find and use our pages;

  • See whether our Google Search ads are reaching the right people; and

  • Meet our legal and professional obligations.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small files saved to your device that help websites work and help us understand how ours is being used. We use two kinds:

  • Essential cookies, which simply let the website function.

  • Analytics cookies, through Google Analytics, which show us general patterns — like which pages are most visited — so we can improve them.

You're always in control. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on. Turning off some cookies may change how parts of the site work.

Our Google Search Ads

We sometimes run search ads on Google — the kind that appear when someone looks up an endocrinologist or a related topic. When a visitor reaches our site after clicking one of those ads, a Google tag lets us see that the ad did its job. We use this only to measure whether our ads are effective.

To be clear about what we don't do: we don't run retargeting or remarketing campaigns, we don't follow you around the internet, and we don't use this information to build a profile of you. You can manage how Google personalizes ads anytime through Google Ad Settings.

What We Don't Do

A few things we want you to feel certain about:

  • We don't sell your personal information — ever.

  • We don't place advertising or analytics trackers on our patient portal or on our secure messaging system. Those tools are for your care and communication, never for advertising.

  • We don't share your information except as described in the next section.

How We Share Information

We share information only in these limited ways:

  • With trusted service providers who help us run the website and our practice — for example, our website host, our analytics and advertising provider (Google), and our scheduling and records systems. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.

  • When the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our patients, our practice, or others.

  • In a business transfer, such as a merger or sale of the practice, in which case your information would remain protected under this policy.

Links to Other Sites

Our website may link to other sites we don't operate — directories, resources, or partners. This policy doesn't cover those sites, so we encourage you to review their privacy practices when you visit them.

Keeping Your Information Safe

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information collected through our website. That said, no method of sending information over the internet is perfectly secure, so please use your patient portal or secure messaging for anything sensitive rather than a public form or regular email.

How Long We Keep It

We hold on to website information only as long as we need it for the purposes described here, or as long as the law requires. Your medical records are kept according to the schedule in our Notice of Privacy Practices and applicable law.

Your Choices and Rights

You can:

  • Block or delete cookies through your browser;

  • Opt out of analytics and personalized ads as described above;

  • Ask us not to contact you for non-clinical reasons; and

  • Reach out anytime with questions about your information.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — such as the right to see or request deletion of certain information. Just contact us and we'll help. Anything involving your medical record is handled through our Notice of Privacy Practices.

Children's Privacy

Our website is meant for adults and isn't directed to children. We don't knowingly collect information from children through the site. If you believe a child has shared information with us, please let us know and we'll remove it.

Do Not Track

Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there still isn't a shared standard for how to respond to it, our site doesn't currently react to that signal.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above and post the new version here. If we make a meaningful change, it will be reflected on this page.
